    please strictly follow the above order to access, otherwise, it may damage the controller or other components; the disassembly sequence is contrary to the wiring order.

    2, Disconnect order : 1. DC load --->2. Solar panels ---> 3. Battery

    3. The battery cable should be as short as possible to minimize loss.

    4. When installation for the first time, set the battery type according to the type of battery and make sure that the battery has enough voltage so that the controller can recognize the correct battery type.

    5. The charge regulator is only suitable for regulating solar modules. Never connect another charging source to the charge regulator.

    6. the light control function is controlled by the solar panel, the use of light control

    Using it with a lead-acid battery to run outdoor lighting. My previous timer died. This unit has a timer perfect for outdoor lighting - when the sun goes down, sensed by loss of solar charge power, the lights turn on for anything from 1 to 23 hours before turning off. Just what I needed. Pay attention to instructions, since battery type and some other setup procedures are not obvious. NOTE: This unit is for use with lead-acid batteries (3 different types are supported) and will NOT charge Lithium batteries.

This unit is preset but you can also change settings for your preference. It has 2 USB ports for charging phones and also direct wiring for outside lighting etc. Fully programable or use straight out the box like me.

    "I am using this charge controller for a solar powered driveway gate application with a 50W pv panel.
    Needed a bit more charging capacity as I am also running LED entrance lights over night.

    Have had this installed for a little over a week, and so far so good. This controller seems to working well and is able to get the battery up to float voltage without issue. I am also using the load output to power the entrance lights, which can be set for dusk to dawn or on at dusk and off after a prescribed time.

    Only gave the charger 4 stars as the LCD screen on it is very directional. Your view angle must be from slightly above to get a clear view. Unfortunately due to mounting limitations in my controller box, I am only able to view from slightly below the controller and it is very hard to read. However, this is only important for configuration and periodically checking operation.

    Working well so far have it hooked to a 10 watt panel to keep the batteries in my boat charged.
