 Arsenio lives in a multi-story home in the Philippines. After integrating a PowMr SPH 6kW 48V All in one inverter (SKU:  POW-SPH-6KW) into his home solar system, everything from the refrigerator and dryer to kitchen appliances and fish-pond equipment runs reliably—his whole-home power is largely backed by this 6kW all in one inverter solution.


Arsenio’s System Setup: Panels, Battery, and Protection Devices

Arsenio’s home solar system is built around a PowMr SPH 6kW all in one inverter, covering solar generation, battery storage, grid backup, and whole-home power.

Solar side:About 6kW of rooftop solar panels are installed on the top floor of his multi-story home. The array uses 500W solar panel modules as the main daytime power source.

Storage side: The 6kW inverter is paired with a 200Ah battery, with battery communication and adjustable settings to keep power available when sunlight is low or at night.

Grid backup: An ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) connects the system to the local utility. It automatically switches between solar/battery power and the grid—no manual switching required.

Protection distribution The setup includes safety breakers, a Surge Protective Device (SPD), and an RCBO (residual current + overcurrent protection) to improve household electrical safety.

Upgrade path: Arsenio previously ran a PowMr 4.2kW inverter for about four to five years with stable performance. After upgrading to the SPH 6kW, he gained higher capacity, more flexible control, and WiFi remote monitoring.


How the 6kW Inverter Connects to Each Component

In Arsenio solar power system, the 6kW all in one inverter serves as the central energy management unit, connecting PV panels, the utility grid, batteries, and various loads. The detailed wiring and system connections are as follows:

  1. PV Array Connection (PV Connection)
    • DC power generated by the 500W solar panel array is connected directly to the inverter's PV1 input terminals (+ and -) using positive and negative cables, providing clean solar energy for the system.
  2. Communication & CT Sampling Connection (BMS / CT Port Connection)
    • The BMS/CT port at the bottom of the inverter connects via a dedicated communication cable to the CT current transformer and energy meter. The CT sensor clips onto the grid live line (L) to monitor real-time power flow, enabling precise energy management and anti-backflow control. Additionally, this port facilitates data communication with the battery BMS.
  3. Utility Grid Connection (GRID Connection)
    • Power from the utility grid enters the system through an automatic transfer switch (ATS) paired with an RCBO and a Surge Protective Device (SPD) for safety and seamless power switching. The utility line connects to the inverter's GRID terminal via Live (L), Neutral (N), and Protective Earth (PE) wires, with the Live line passing through the meter and CT ring, and the PE wire connecting to the main grounding busbar (E-BAR).
  4. Main Output / Backup Loads Connection (MAIN OUT Connection)
    • The MAIN OUT port (terminals 5, 6, and 7 corresponding to L, N, and PE) connects to critical Backup Loads, such as lighting, refrigerator, and computers. In the event of a grid power outage, the inverter automatically provides uninterrupted power to these priority loads using solar and battery energy. 
  5. Second Output / Normal Loads Connection (SECOND OUT Connection)
    • The SECOND OUT (smart output) port connects to non-critical Normal Loads, such as air conditioners and refrigerators. The inverter intelligently manages or sheds the secondary output based on battery state-of-charge to ensure power for main critical loads.
  6. Safety Grounding System (Grounding System / E-BAR Connection)
    • All protective earth (PE) wires from the GRID, MAIN OUT, and SECOND OUT circuits are centralized and connected to the E-BAR (Earth Grounding Busbar), ensuring reliable safety protection for the entire solar energy system.


Arsenio’s Feedback video

In his feedback video, Arsenio shares how the PowMr SPH 6kW all in one inverter manages on-grid and off-grid switching automatically—so he doesn’t have to worry about manual changeovers. With WiFi Modules for remote monitoring, he can check system performance even when he’s abroad.

After running a PowMr 4.2kW inverter for about four to five years with no major issues, Arsenio upgraded to the SPH 6kW. He notes that the SPH offers better features, has run without problems for about seven months, and hopes it will keep serving his home for up to 10 years.
