HOW TO WIRE YOUR EPEVER 20A MPPT CHARGE CONTROLLER?

Turn the 20amp controller's adjusting screw counterclockwise until the plate moves downward.
Please peel off the coating of the cable tip by about 8 to 10 mm, Then Insert the wire into the new opening between the plate and the "top" of the terminal hole.
When turning the adjuster clockwise, the plate moves upward and crushes the wire in the hole of the terminal.
Make sure all connections going into and from the 20A mppt controller are tight.

IMPORTANT NOTE OF MPPT CHARGE CONTROLLER:

Make sure your battery must be at least 60% charged prior to connecting to mppt solar charge controller.
Always connect and turn on your battery first, and wait for the LCD display to light up then turn on/wire your solar panel.
Never wire your solar panel to the controller without a battery wiring.
Careful your input power and voltage do not exceed the max value.

EPEVER 40a Solar Charge Controller - It works but the manual is HORRIBLE. -2 stars for the manual. It's hard to use the product if the manual makes no sense. It's written as if it's a cheat sheet for the people who built it. It tells you how to navigate to screens that are full of abbreviations that are not explained for parameters or functions that are not explained. Seeing as how I'm supposed to rate the "sheerness" and "warmth" of the product in this review, it would seem the reviews are being gamed as well.

Bought this for a small off grid setup. Controller looks to be well built, tons of features.
Lcd interface panels to scroll through the menus without the need for the mt50 is a nice bonus too. Only time will tell if it works as good as it looks.

So far so good. This charger looks be to well built and weights a lot more than a competitors charger. The display is easy to read and comprehensive with a lot of info and details on one screen instead of having to scroll through a bunch of screens. Time will tell but I think I found a good valued controller with this one.

最初はEPEVERのPWM方式のほうを使用していましたが、どういう発電状況なのか見れるようにしたくて購入しました。
EPEVERの公式ページからController-PCTools-V1.93をダウンロードして、
Solar Station MonitorをインストールするとPCでコントローラーの情報のログを取れるようになります。
Controller-PCToolsに説明書が添付されているのでそれを読めばセットアップが可能です。
PCへの接続にはCC-USB-RS485-150Uというケーブルが必要なので別途購入が必要です。
時間設定機能や電圧でのオンオフ制御もできます。
MPPT方式なのでソーラー側が18Vほどで充電してくれるから、曇り空でも発生する電力が多くなり安定した充電が出来るようになりました。
100Wパネルで21V以上出力されているときもあるので、かなりの発電効率が期待できます。
[W15cm H21.6cm D5.7cm]となかなかの大きさなので設置場所はよく考えないといけません。
ヒートシンクが貧弱な大きさなので、放熱しやすいようにヒートシンク側にはある程度の隙間を作ったほうが良いと思います。

Purchased the 20am Triron MPPT charge controller plus a blue tooth adaptor in March of 2020. I hit U-tube for help on setting up a tablet to read the Bluetooth. My first experience using a tablet. Accouple of weeks latter I purchased a lithium battery. It was a super easy to put in the charging parameters for the lithium battery. No codes needed it was just change the values and send. The charge controller does keep the settings when disconnected from the battery. I have disconnected it several times and has not lost the settings. The amps, volts and kw readings are sent to the Tablet only when hit the refresh button/swipe screen or other method. There are several ways to refresh the data. It would be nice to have an option of doing a continuous data transfer with away to go back to just sending data when requested to save power. Seems to be very efficient on the MPPT conversion. I would defiantly buy the unit again.

This was a solid choice. I opted to include the Bluetooth module.
I run a 12v system with a micro hydro and single 35w panel. The 20amp controller is overkill for me. At most I generate 40v and 2 amps.

I like that I can set the battery type and can get readings on the state of the load the battery and power source all in a single view. I would prefer it didn't cycle through the various stats on its own but that isn't a showstopper.

I have found that having the remote control is necessary. There are so many settings and features that are only useable in the app. The app itself is not great but functions well enough.

The instructions are confusing for the more complex aspects of the unit. Took some research to answer my questions. Since my setup is off grid this ment I could not do my settings with the web open but had to make a trip each time to make a change.

Overall would recommend.

The charge controller seems to work great. It's easy to read with plenty of info. It seriously lacks info on how to configure your PC to use the 'USB to RS-485' or even which software to download. The instructions are also unclear on how to "Clear the generated energy" if you are using the DS2 module. Overall I really like it.
