    Modular design

    HOW TO WIRE YOUR SOLAR CONTROLLER?

    1. Turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise until the plate moves downward.
    2. Please peel off the coating of the cable tip by about 8 to 10 mm，Then Insert the wire into the new opening between the plate and the "top" of the terminal hole.
    3. When turning the adjuster clockwise, the plate moves upward and crushes the wire in the hole of the terminal.
    4. Make sure all connections going into and from the controller are tight.

    IMPORTANT NOTE:

    1. Make sure your battery must be at least 12V when connecting to the controller.
    2. Always connect your battery first!!!
    3. Never connect your solar panel array to the controller without a battery.
    4. Careful your input power and voltage does not exceed the max.

    I tried this charger/controller on some 175 watt x 4 solar panels with (2) 50ah lithium batteries. The 4 panels are rated at just over 9 amps a piece which brings it close to the 40 amp limit. I am not an expert on solar setups but so far the panels are pumping out power and my batteries will stay charged depending on the load I use. I have four more panels and will buy a second charger to match this first one. So far I am satisfied. My only comment would be the LCD display can be hard to read it needs to be in a well lit location to read.

    So far so good, everything works as expected. I bought the full kit with the remote and temp sensor. Hooked up to couple of 75A batteries (one at a time for now because I'm waiting to receive lugs and fuses before I connect them together), and a 370W solar panel with a sine wave inverter. I tested with 100W load and battery gets charged up very quickly in full sun, and lots of useful voltage/current/power stats on the controller display, and remote. My only complain so far is the remote buttons are very hard to press. Will do more testing in the coming weeks if sun allows.

    I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because the wire mounting screws are a little small and hard to get to with a regular size screw driver. In the enlarged picture you can see the size difference, the controller on the right has larger and beefier screws. The opening size is about the same, but on the Epever controller the screws are smaller and encircled in plastic. You need to make sure that the screw driver is positioned properly as the screw head is small and easily damaged. Overall I am very pleased with this charge controller, and will be replacing the one on the right with this model in the near future.
