Installation Instructions

Installing wires, first loosen the screw counterclockwise

  • Prepare complete installation tools, materials, and cable. Please match suitable cable.
  • ensure that the current density is <4A/mm2 This will help reduce the line pressure drop. Check the installation site meets the relevant safety requirements, avoid damp, dusty, flammable, explosive, and corrosive gases
  • Install the controller fixed to the vertical plane, see Section V mounting aperture and hole spacing. In order to ensure good controller cooling conditions, the controller on the bottom of each reserved 10cm space
  • As shown on the right wiring sequence: load, battery, solar. The battery plate is connected to the controller to be taken to ensure that the load, battery. The polarity of the solar cell panel and controller.
  • Warning: to prevent accidents (high pressure or high temperature), nonprofessionals can not engage in loading and unloading operations.

Wiring tips

  • Always connect the battery first!!! Make sure the battery has enough voltage when first wiring this can let the controller recognize the right system voltage.
  • DO NOT connect any Inverter / Alternator or Charger into the charge controller! The inverter needs a wire to the battery side.
  • Ensures solar input voltage higher 3V or more than batteries’ voltage and total input power in the range. the charging current almost is zero when the controller is floating charge.
  • Install the controller fixed to the vertical plane, the controller on the bottom of each reserved 10cm space, In order to ensure good controller cooling conditions.

A ARE YOUR PANELS IN PARALLEL OR SERIES? IF IN SERIES IT IS TOO MUCH VOLTAGE. 5 X 24 = 120 VOLTS, IN PARALLEL IT WOULD BE THE 24 VOLT YOU NEED, LOOK AT THE CIRCUIT BOARD AND SEE WHAT WAS SMOKING. YOU MAY BE ABLE TO REPLACE THAT PART AND GET IT TO WORK BUT I AM AFRAID YOU ARE STUCK WITH A DEAD CONTROLLER. IT WILL NOT BE REPLACED IF YOU DID NOT FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS IN THE INSTALLING OF IT.. A Yes, you can use it. but if you only 280W solar panel, 30A mppt charge controller is enough

At 25℃ temperature Maximum open circuit voltage of the solar panel (Voc): 18V-48V(When in 12V system) / 36V-96V (When in 24V system) . It is best to use temperature probe for temperature compensation

A Dear, You can connect 2 or 4 this charge controller to the batteries bank in parallel, but do not share PV Panels. Dedicate a number of PV panels to each controller.

DO NOT connect any inverters or battery charger into the load terminal of the charge controller.
A fuse which current is 1.25 to 2 times the rated current of the controller, must be installed on the battery side with a distance from the battery not greater than 150 mm.
