Warm tips:
Step: Connect the system in the order of 1. battery-->2. load-->3.PV array, and disconnect the system in the reverse order 3. 2. 1.
- The battery must be connected first !!!
- Never connect the solar panel array to the controller Without/Before a Battery.
- DO NOT connect any inverter/ wind/Alternator or Charger into the charge controller!
- If the remote temperature sensor is not connected to the controller, the default setting for battery charging or discharging temperature is 25 °C without temperature compensation.
- The wire size is only for reference. If there is a long distance between the PV array and the controller or between the controller and the battery, larger wires can be used to reduce the voltage drop and improve performance.

Question: | Is it possible to drain the battery by connecting something to the "load" output of the panel or is this completely separeted from the battery? |
Answer: | small DC electric equipment, like 4.5W DC fan/Light, is ok to connect to Load of controller. Others large power electrical equipment please don't connect it to LOAD. |
Question: | For lifepo4 batts does the 1210an do 4-stage charge or only 3 & must i put in the parameters or only select the battery type? |
Answer: | For lifepo4 battery, you only need select your battery voltage and type via PC software. Li battery charge way is 3-stage MPPT charge, li battery doens't have equalize charging. |
Question: | I have a 20 ah, agm battery and an 80 watt panel. can i use the 10 amp controller safely? |
Answer: | yes. But please pay attention to your panel and battery's voltage. solar panel voltage need higher than battery's that will charge your battery. For example, if your battery is 12V, we suggest your solar panel's voltage at least 16V or higher. |
Question: | how does the unit know when sunrise/sunset is? Are there photoresisters? The manual talks about timing it for hours before/after sunsrise & sunset! |
Answer: | The controller judge sunrise/sunset based on the input voltage of the solar panel. |
Question: | Will the epever 10a mppt handle 400 watts at 90v and 5.8 amps charging 12v battery? the parameter section says max. pv input power: 130w/12v 260w/24v |
Answer: | NO. For 1210AN with 12V battery, controller max can handle 130w solar power. if your battery is12v, and solar panel is 400 watts. we recommend you purchase 30A or 40A controller. |
Question: | It says: fit for 260w(12v);520w(24v),max input voltage:100v; ...then later it says: max. pv input power: 130w/12v 260w/24v. which is it? |
Answer: | For 10A, its Max. PV input power: 130W/12V 260W/24V, max input voltage:100v "fit for 260w(12v);520w(24v)"----- is incorrect, we will modify it. |
Question: | Hi! can i use this mppt on my small solar panel which is only 12volts 3.3watts of output for my car battery charger? |
Answer: | NO. 3.3w panel is too small. |
